Zhengyao Zuo

Zuo Zhengyao finds his family roots in Xiangyin of Hunan province, China. He was born in Gongan of Hubei province, China in 1960.In 1980, he entered the Chinese traditional painting of The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA), completed his bachelor degree and served as a teacher of Central China Normal University in1985. Then, he worked at Guangdong museum of Art from 1996. And then he was back to GAFA, earning his MFA in 2009. Zuo now served as a professor and postgraduate student tutor of
GAFA, member of Ceramic Art Committee of China Artists Association, member of International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), UNESCO, member of Non-material Culture Protect Association, member of Guangdong Ceramic Art Judging Committee, chairman of Federation Asian Artists-China Committee from 12th to 23rd, judging panel of the 11th, 12th National Art Exhibition assessment and re-assessment. And his works were collected by Ministry of Culture of the People‘s Republic of China, National Museum of China, Guangdong Museum of Art,
Museum of Contemporary Art Xinjiang, Wuhan Art Museum, Linnan Museum of Fine Art, Wangcheng Art Museum, Guyuan Museum of Art, Memorial Hall ofLingnan School of Painting, etc.

He is one of the founding member and Board of Director of Contemporary Art Club West Pacific.

Award
