Jenny Q. Bulthuis
Jenny Q. Bulthuis graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou 1989. With a desire to further her education in 1990 she moved to Los Angeles California USA. In 1998 Jenny received a Master of Arts degree, then two years later a Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University Fullerton, USA. While Jenny was a graduate student she received a Silver Award from the Society of Illustrators of LA in USA. Jenny has been teaching at California State University Fullerton, since 1998. From 2001 to 2004 she taught painting and drawing at Rancho Santiago College. From 1989 to 1990 Jenny also taught at Shenzhen Arts School China, and Fine Art Program at Shenzhen Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation, China. In 2002 she jointed an environmental volunteer group and taught a summer program in Inner-Mongolia China.
Jenny participated in a number of exhibitions. She had solo exhibitions at 8 Gallery and JKD Gallery at Bergamot Station LA, 57 Underground Gallery Pomona in LA, Exhibition Hall International Buddhist Progress Society in USA, and Eileen Kremen Gallery LA. Jenny also participated in Guangdong Museum of Art China, University City Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, annual Pasadena Society of Artist Exhibitions LA, Yucun Museum in Suzhou China, Nathan Gallery Dana Point in LA, Eva S. Vale Memorial Art Exhibit, Barbara & Ray Apert Jewish Community Center Long Beach, CA in USA, Grand Central Santa Ana, LA. Her paintings are collected by different professional institutions, such as Guangdong Museum of Art China, University City Art Museum of Academy of Fine Art China, Yucun Museum Suzhou China. She is a member of Pasadena Society of Artist Los Angeles. Jenny frequently volunteers with various children's groups to bring children into a new and fun art experience.
She is one of the founding member and Board of Director of Contemporary Art Club West Pacific.
